Sales & Marketing Executive

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell venues to event/show organisers.
  • Handle hotline and email enquiries for booking of all performing arts venues and school facilities.
  • Make regular cold-calls to potential hirers.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Assist to promote hirers’ events and attend production meetings.
  • Provide internal and external event management services by coordinating events from initial sales (for external event organisers), to operations requirements completion.
  • Liaise with hirers on marketing and advertising options within the venue.
  • Troubleshoot onsite issues.
  • Manage digital signage screens, liaising with hirers and creating content for events.
  • Maintain Gateway Theatre’s website with webmaster.
  • Manage and generate content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
  • Ensure Venue Management Software is updated accurately and promptly for marketing billings, bookings and database.
  • Assist Venue Sales Manager/Senior Sales Executive to reconcile ticket sales report from SISTIC or other ticketing agents before confirming the final billing with Finance.
  • Liaise with creative agencies and vendors on marketing projects, including design and printing works.
  • Involvement in brand management and implementation.
  • Oversee development of advertising and sales & marketing materials including sales kit, advertisements, etc.
  • Liaise with sponsors/potential sponsors on marketing opportunities.
  • Assist in any ad-hoc Marketing Communications projects.


  • A degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in Marketing, Events Marketing or similar capacities.
  • Possess a good attitude and a keen learner.
  • Possess good writing skills.
  • An organised and meticulous worker.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Work well in a team.
  • Able to come up with innovative and creative marketing strategies. Savvy with social media channels of communications.
  • Willing to put in additional hours when required.
