Gateway Entertainment strengthens presence in the region with strategic partnership collaboration

Beijing, China – In its efforts to continually establish its strategic footprint and influence in Asia, Gateway Entertainment’s (GE) has signed a strategic partnership agreement that will see it collaborating with industry heavyweights to promote and expand the performing arts industry across the region.

The agreement was signed by GE’s Deputy CEO Jonathan Ow, together with chief executives heads of Age of Stone Creative Arts, China's JUOOO.com, one of China’s largest theatre management companies and Quanta Arts Foundation from Taiwan, at Beijing’s Performing Arts Expo held over the Easter weekend.

Besides the exchange of ideas, initiatives and the pooling of resources, the agreement officially kick-starts a shared platform between the parties to expand the performing arts gene - making it more accessible and pervasive in the lives of arts enthusiasts and industry players. Significantly, it is testament that GE and its productions have gained traction and recognition among established industry players seeking a reliable long term and sustainable partnership.

“This is an exciting time for Gateway Entertainment where we are able to leverage on the influence and experience of Juooo and our partners to not only actively participate and contribute to China’s Arts & Entertainment scene, but also to bring world-class Chinese productions to Singapore,” enthused Jonathan Ow, who also announced to local media Gateway Theatre’s official launch in July 2017 and its upcoming new production The Nutcracker which debuts back home in Singapore in September 2017.

Juooo’s Chief Executive, John Geng Jun, echoed his enthusiasm and support of the partnership, adding that is underscored the growing demand in key markets for quality entertainment, “This partnership will allow us to up the game in China’s Arts and Entertainment landscape where we can bring in world class productions from the Greater China Area, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Singapore. It’s a unique process that requires close collaboration among with the right entities, which is what makes this partnership significant.”

This partnership comes straight off last year’s collaboration between GE and Juooo that saw Christmas Magic debut in the Chinese cities of Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Dongguan throughout the month of December 2016. Plans are currently already underway to continue with this partnership to extend Christmas Magic to even more cities in China, including GE’s new show, The Nutcracker this year.
