“Star of Wonder”, A Magical Presentation of Faith, Hope, and Love

10 April, 2014

The city of Kuala Lumpur will be mesmerised by two evenings of an award-winning magical theatre presentation from Singapore.

Entitled "Star of Wonder", the presentation is a collaborative effort of Calvary Church Kuala Lumpur and Gateway Entertainment of Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC) Singapore.

“"Star of Wonder" tells of the wonderful story of faith, hope and love, which the world desperately needs to hear. It is told through a magical presentation of music and dance that will captivate the minds of the audience! It is not to be missed!” said Project Coordinator Rev Richard Yun.

There will be two shows on Saturday April 19, 2014 at 3pm and 7pm and one on Sunday April 20, 2014 at 7pm.  The performances will be held at the Calvary Convention Centre (CCC), situated at No. 1, Jalan Jalil Perkasa 1, Bukit Jalil, 57100 Kuala Lumpur.

Held for the first time in Malaysia, this performance will feature world-renowned Elite Diamond Merlin Award recipients Lawrence Khong and his daughter, Priscilla. The father and daughter team as well as the production crew, have been performing in various countries, including the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Over 160,000 people have been inspired by the performance.

“This is not just another entertainment. It is one that will evoke a great sense of hope, coupled with many moments of laughter and awe” quipped Rev Yun.

Lawrence Khong, who is also the Senior Pastor of Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC) Singapore, will be sharing hope-filled messages at the end of each performance. Interpretations in Bahasa Malaysia and Cantonese would be made available.

Calvary Church will be hosting a Special Good Friday Service on April 18 at 8pm as well as on April 20 for Easter Worship Service at 9am at the CCC.
